The 4,000 acres to be restored and preserved is owned by Floraland Dairy Inc. Floraland has owned and operated the property for over 50 years, and is the sponsor of the Panther Passage Conservation Bank that shall provide the critical linkage to this conservation puzzle.
The fully restored Panther Island lands will be preserved in perpetuity through a conservation easement and a long-term steward-ship trust fund which will be managed by Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary and owned by The National Audubon Society.
The Legacy Farms Stream Bank site is located in Jones County, Georgia. The mitigation bank incorporates approximately 206.79 acres of riparian forest and approximately 23,416 linear feet of stream channel/riparian buffer.
The 635 acre Corkscrew Regional Mitigation Bank is owned by South Florida Water Management District.
The Wetlandsbank Company has completed the restoration and enhancement of 450 acres of degraded wetlands owned by the City of Pembroke Pines, producing a diverse, multi-habitat ecosystem.
The project can be used to mitigate for unavoidable wetland impacts in portions of Collier, Lee, Sarasota, and Charlotte County. LPI is the sole source for saltwater credits in this region.
